[London, UK - 27th July 2017]: Cartoon Network powers up a connected world of original heroes across the TV and gaming landscape with the all-new OK K.O.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo mobile app, available today for FREE on iOS, Google Play and Amazon. The launch comes ahead of the brand-new Cartoon Network Original series, OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes set to premiere on the channel in October - giving Cartoon Network fans a unique opportunity to get to know an exciting new hero in a brand-new way.
OK K.O.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo allows kids to take on the role of Cartoon Network's newest hero, K.O., an endlessly optimistic kid attempting to level up to be the best he can be in a dynamic universe filled with awesome dudes, duddettes and bad guys. In the all-new app, K.O. is on an epic quest to save Lakewood Plaza from the clutches of the evil Lord Box More and discover what it truly means to be a hero .
Let's set the scene
The town of Lakewood Plaza is filled with heroes and larger than life characters who strive to be the greatest heroes they can be. This means years of work, training and dedication - and who has time for that? So, when the inhabitants of Lakewood Plaza are offered a drink that will help them unlock their full potential few can resist. Only K.O., who is allergic to nuts, and his boisterous boss who clings to his old ways, Mr Gar, do not drink the potion.
The drink, however, turns out to be nothing more than a ploy by Box More, and those who consume it are transformed into the evil version of themselves! With all hope lost, Mr Gar is forced to destroy Lakewood Plaza and scatter the inhabitants around the world. It's up to K.O. to rescue the inhabitants and restore Lakewood Plaza to its former glory.
