KKR buy to telephone an additional 15.2% Telxius

KKR buy to telephone an additional 15.2% Telxius US investment fund thus raises their participation to 40% in the subsidiary Telef nica telecommunications infrastructure.

KKR has exercised the purchase option that had over an additional 15.2% of Telxius, the subsidiary of telecommunications infrastructures of Telef nica, in an operation that according to the easy access to the National Commission of the stock market)CNMV) amounts to 484,5 million euros. The US investment fund has acquired 38 million Telxius shares at a price of 12.75 euros title, raising its participation to 40%.

Telxius has more than 16,000 spread telecommunications towers in five countries and manages an international network with approximately 65,000 km of fiber optic submarine, of which 31,000 kilometers are company-owned.

Last February, Telef nica announced that it had reached an agreement with KKR to sell you up to 40% Telxius 1.275 million. On 24 October, Telef nica conveyed to KKR 24.8% of the capital of Telxius (62 million shares) for 790,5 million once obtained the necessary regulatory permissions.

Desde la multinacional espa ola rese an que esta transacci n no tiene un impacto en los resultados consolidados del grupo porque, al tratarse de un porcentaje minoritario, mantiene el control de Telxius. La operaci n se enmarca en la pol tica de gesti n de activos de Telef nica, que se basa en una estrategia de creaci n de valor , afirman desde Telef nica.
