It is learned from the press conference for the festival, held on the afternoon of July 19, that the 2016 Ningbo Shopping Festival, with the theme of "happy shopping, happy summer", will be held from July 22 to August 7.
More preferential activities
Besides the traditional promotions, the festival this year will launch a series of new activities related to the hot topics. For example, the intangible cultural heritage as well as the creative crafts exhibition will be sponsored by Ningbo Economic and Information Technology Committee. The parallel imported vehicle exhibition will be held at Meishan Island in early August this year. The Ningbo final of the Womens Electronic Competition Grand Prix of EWG will be held on August 6 in Ningbo and will be broadcast live on TV throughout the country.
Meanwhile, there will be more preferential activities. The department stores, shopping malls, supermarkets and convenience stores in the six urban districts will launch various preferential activities, including direct discounts, price reductions, sales, special price offers and fulfill-quota gifts, with larger marketing efforts than in 2015.
Rich and colorful night life
The citizens can attend the shopping festival with the Wechat. As the mobile consumption has become an important consumption style nowadays, this session of the festival will launch the "online version", where the citizens can have access to the festival with their Wechat accounts.
The "moonlight economy" will enrich the night life of the citizens. At the featured business blocks and squares, a variety of night fair activities will be held, including the entertainment shows, sightseeing tours, shopping and catering, recreational activities, sports, and exhibitions and sales. The major events include the Food Promotion Season activity in Yuyao County, the Intime Date for the Double Seventh Festival in Cixi County, the "Happy Summer at Jinzhong Square" in Fenghua County, the "Stylish Night" activity in Xiangshan County, and the 789 Nantang Ancient Street Night Fair.
