Kinnik Introduces Practilite 604, Compact Fresnel Light with Smart Control

At NAB 2017, Kinotehnik, Northern European manufacturer of innovative cinematography and lighting accessories, will introduce Practilite 604, the latest addition to its popular line of smart Fresnel lights.

Practilite is the world's smallest, bi-color, variable beam LED light and includes smart control that allows brightness and color temperature adjustments to be made via a simple smartphone app. Lending further versatility to the series, Practilite 604 features a traditional balanced mounting fixture with full-size, 5-pin XLR DMX sockets alongside conventional DC input. DMX connectivity enables all conventional controls, including smooth dimming action from 0 to 100%.

Kinotehnik will also introduce SmartSync connectivity, a new protocol that allows multiple Practilite units to be connected in a daisy chain of DMX cables. In this way, a group of fixtures can be synchronously controlled via a single, connected Practilite without a DMX board. As many as six groups of lights-for a total of 90 fixtures-can be controlled through a single smartphone app.
