Postponed the debate "face-to-face" between Miguel Arias Ca ete and Elena Valenciano The debate, organized by the Academy of Sciences and arts of Television and Spanish Television, will take place in the studies of TVE next Thursday.

The political shock by the murder of Isabel Carrasco, President of the PP in Le n and the provincial Council, has been postponed to Thursday 15 of the electoral debate tonight at ten oclock was going to occur in TVE and the popular candidate, Miguel Arias Ca ete, the Socialist Elena Valenciano.

The Academy of Sciences and arts of Television and Spanish Television has unveiled at a press conference all the details of the debate between the candidates for the European elections of the Popular Party and Socialist Party, Miguel Arias Ca ete and Elena Valenciano, which will be held in the studies of TVE and which will be moderated by the journalist and academic Mar a Casado "face to face".

"The President of the Academy of Television Manuel Campo Vidal, has thanked that both parties have relied on the institution, for the third time, for the Organization of the face to cara ."On April 24 they requested our intervention as there was several chains interested in broadcasting the debate and political parties only had availability to perform one. "In addition, we have participated in the negotiation of the blocks and, finally, Saturday 10 may reached a definitive agreement". For his part, Julio Somoano, news director of TVE, has explained the structure of the debate. "It will consist of an introduction of two minutes for each candidate and five thematic blocks that will be developed in the following order: economic policy, social policy, sectoral policies, rights and liberties and the future of the European Union." The first two blocks will last for 12 minutes with three statements of two minutes for each candidate. After a three-minute pause, will address the last three blocks of eight minutes each and with two statements of two minutes for each candidate. The debate will end with a shift of conclusions of a minute for each". The speaking time has also been drawn and the candidate of the PSOE Elena Valenciano will begin the introduction and the blocks of economic policy, sectoral policies and the future of the European Union and the candidate of the Popular Party, Miguel Arias Ca ete blocks of social policies and rights and freedoms. In addition, the director of TVE news thanked the work of Manuel Campo Vidal "not only in the mediation with the parties, but also for his permanent work" to promote some election-year debates that enrich democracy.

Pepe Qu lez, Vice President of the Television Academy has pointed out that in "the Academy advocate the existence of election-year debates, especially of the face to cara ." These have to do with what we call the chain of trust: trust in the institution that organizes it, trust in the chain that produces it, analyzes and emits, and trust in the moderator of the debate. In this sense is important to underline the confidence placed in TVE, the moderator Mar a Casado and its Director Angel Povedano".

To conclude, the academic and moderator of the face to cara Mar a Casado has expressed the importance of the debates. "They are necessary and are part of the public service that we offer every day."
