Rohde and amp; Schwarz and ATTO Partner to Optimize Ethernet Adapter Capabilities for macOS

Rohde & Schwarz, a global leader inpost-productionmedia technologies, has joined forces with ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of network, storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, to optimize the new generation ofATTO 360 Tuning, Monitoring and Analytics Software, as well as ATTO ThunderLink N3 3102andNS 3252 Thunderbolt adaptersfor use with R&S SpycerNode. Now, macOS customers - in addition to Linux and Windows users - can more easily connect to the SpycerNode media storage solution, benefitting from a significant performance enhancement, without the need for additional PCI slots.

ATTO's forthcoming software release will give customers access to three dedicated Rohde & Schwarz tuning profiles, providing automatic adjustments to system control settings with just a few mouse clicks and support for uncompressed single frame file transfers. This latest collaboration builds on an established relationship between the two companies which began with certification of ATTO solutions for the R&S CLIPSTER mastering and distribution platform.

SpycerNode storage reduces complexity while increasing ease of use. With a set of high-value features, it leverages High-Performance Computing file system features for seamless workflow integration and multiple layers of redundancy for comprehensive resilience. The highly user-oriented storage solution is fully scalable and can be adapted to capacity and bandwidth demands during operation. Multiple SpycerNode devices with different configurations can be very easily combined.

ATTO 360 Tuning, Monitoring and Analytics Software is a tool for optimizing and maintaining Ethernet networks. It supports ATTO Ethernet products such asATTO FastFrame Smart Ethernet Adapters and ATTO ThunderLink Thunderboltto Ethernet adapters, giving every user the ability to easily tune a network for the best performance. The Rohde & Schwarz profiles will be available from Q1 2022, but in the meantime, ATTO 360 is available to download here.
