KwaMashu's police captain Mondli will get replaced by fan-favourite character Nyawo in November, according to the TVSA Uzalo teasers. He will get demoted by Colonel Mabaso, who is on Putin's payroll.

MONDLI GETS HUMILIATED This will be the second time that Mondli loses his position as captain to Nyawo, who got also demoted when they found him incompetent. The Uzalo teasers reveal that Mthambisi aka Putin will get Colonel Mabaso to frame Mondli (Thembinkosi Thwala) so that he loses his position.

A desperate Mondli tries to convince the police board that he's being framed but Colonel Mabaso has damning evidence that pours water on his theory.

The Wednesday 30 November teaser also reveals that Nyawo (Cebolenkosi Mthembu) will annoy everyone when he gets promoted.

Nyawo uses his promotion to be seen, heard, and felt wherever he goes and the KwaMashu Talent show elevates Nkunzi to celebrity status.

UZALO': WHAT ARE PUTIN'S PLANS WITH GABISILE? Uzalo's Mthambisi Phakathi has had his eyes on Nkunzi's (Masoja Msiza) wife' Gabisile from the moment he arrived in KwaMashu.

He's a wealthy villain who's as dangerously charming and enters KwaMashu under the false pretence of owning a massive media company.

He plans to ruin Nkunzi and Gabisile's (Baby Cele) relationship because he despises him and is using her to get back at him.

It is unclear what Nkunzi and Putin's (Buyile Mdladla) history is at this stage as he's still hiding his true identity from her.
