With over thirty years of acting to his resume and a passionate supporter of his local industry, Sean Cameron Michael's dedication to his craft has been acknowledged and snapped up with an official signing to SMS Talent Inc. in Beverly Hills.
Michael's previous credits include Regardt van den Bergh's multiple award-winning feature Faith Like Potatoes, the Emmy nominated Strike Back series (opposite Game of Thrones Charles Dance), Clint Eastwood's Oscar nominated Invictus and FOX's Golden Globe nominated 24: Redemption. International media raved about Michael's controversial performance as sly UN worker, Charles Solenz, in the 2008 TV movie based on the hit 24 series, stating that 24 had found a new villain in Africa and that Michaels character was possibly the most spineless character ever created for the series.
He was recently seen as NASA expert, Judson Lovingood, starring opposite Oscar winner William Hurt in the BBC Films' The Challenger Disaster. The Science Channel's first dramatic feature film garnered over five million viewers in it's debut weekend last month in the USA.
Next year the actor appears as a series regular in the highly anticipated Michael Bay-produced pirate adventure Black Sails on STARZ, which premieres 25 January in the States. Michael portrays the role of Richard Guthrie, a ruthless black marketer. He can also be seen playing the supporting role of Lester in Zentropa Entertainment's upcoming feature, The Salvation, opposite Mads Mikkelsen, Jonathan Pryce and Eva Green. The western is directed by multiple award-winning director, Kristian Levring.
SMS Talent's Donna Massetti will be repping Michael in the US, while their impressive client roster already includes Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Stephen Amell (Arrow), Todd Lowe (True Blood), Zeljko Ivanek (The Bourne Legacy) and Pirates of the Caribbean's Kevin McNally, who also stars alongside Michael in The Challenger Disaster.
