New FUTUREZONE meets with very positive response in the startup scene

New FUTUREZONE meets with very positive response in the startup scene photokina offers not only global players of the imaging industry a major stage, but also special outfitters and young companies that enrich the market with smart products and creative concepts. With the FUTUREZONE, photokina and the Photoindustrie-Verband is in 2016 for the first time enabling startups even easier access to the market, to potential investors and to end consumers. 22 companies from around the world have utilised the chance to present themselves at the worlds leading trade fair for photography, video and imaging from 20 to 25 September, which means that the special area in hall 9 is completely booked up. There is also a varied stage programme.

The 22 newcomers come from throughout the world to Cologne. Seven of them have their company headquarters in Germany. The products and service solutions presented extend from Steadicam through 3D scanning and photo studios-to-go to memory and administration systems and the protection of image rights. Eight companies will present the newest products from the mobile imaging segment in the FUTUREZONE APP AREA. They will be created by the American market researcher and specialists for the mobile photo and video market, Hans Hartman. All exhibitors will also present themselves during the period of the trade fair with lectures on the FUTUREZONE stage. The app manufacturers also have the chance to win the App of the Day award in the context of a show & tell session with Hans Hartman.

In the context of its startup initiative, the Photoindustrie-Verband (PIV) will also be represented in the FUTUREZONE with a stand and be available as a contact for startups.
