La AP lanza su primer Manual de Estilo en espaol La gua, un producto en internet, busca uniformar el uso del espaol en Latinoamrica y Estados Unidos
La Associated Press lanzar un nuevo Manual de Estilo en espaol para ser usado por periodistas, escritores y medios de comunicacin de todos los pases de habla hispana, especialmente en Latinoamrica y Estados Unidos.
El lanzamiento del Manual de Estilo tendr lugar el lunes 3 de diciembre a las 7.30 p.m., en la Librera El Pndulo. Direccin: Alvaro Obregn 86, Colonia Roma, Del. Cuauhtmoc, 06700, Ciudad de Mxico.
El evento contar con una discusin con un panel conformado por Carlos Puig, columnista del Milenio y director del programa En 15; Rossana Fuentes, vicepresidenta del Grupo Expansin; Dana Salazar, editora de la revista 192; Fabiola Zamora, editora de la revista 192; Homero Aridjis, poeta mexicano; Emilio Fernndez, editor de la AP y Alejandro Manrique, director del servicio en espaol de la AP.
La AP comenz a vender el Manual de Estilo exclusivamente a los clientes de su Servicio de Noticias en Espaol a partir del 19 de noviembre como un producto en etapa experimental, y lo colocar a la venta general a partir de enero de 2013.
El Manual de Estilo Online, una herramienta de internet con capacidad de bsqueda y adaptable, incluir miles de trminos, algunos provenientes del ya conocido AP Stylebook en ingls y la mayora incluidos del idioma espaol especialmente para escritores y periodistas.

El nuevo manual incluye captulos sobre terminologa para deportes, arte y entretenimiento, junto con cientos de archivos de audio con la correcta pronunciacin de las palabras.
La seccin sobre los medios sociales estipula los estndares de la AP para tuitear, retuitear los mensajes de otros, y cmo atribuir informacin en los medios sociales de la red. Tambin incluye trminos de internet como blog, hashtag, emoticn, metadata y tuitear.
Tambin incluye palabras originadas en la experiencia de los inmigrantes hispanos en Estados Unidos, como chicano, Marines, parquear y suspensin temporal de deportaciones.
El Manual de Estilo en espaol de la AP ser actualizado constantemente, aadiendo palabras y modificando otras, y los usuarios podrn recibir notificaciones por correo electrnico. El Manual incluye desde ya palabras que sern incluidas en la versin de 2013 del Diccionario Panhispnico de Dudas y en el Diccionario de la Real Academia Espaola, consideradas las autoridades mximas en el uso correcto del idioma espaol.
Los subscriptores podrn enviarle sus preguntas a los editores del manual y revisar las preguntas enviadas por otros anteriormente.
Los clientes de la AP recibirn un correo electrnico con detalles sobre cmo subscribirse al Manual de Estilo, al que se podr accesar slo con una contrasea, ya sea como individuo o con una licencia para usuarios mltiples. La AP anticipa difundir ampliamente el Manual de Estilo a comienzos del 2013. Las tarifas oscilarn desde $26 anuales para un usuario y $210 anuales por una licencia para 10 usuarios. La AP ofrece tarifas introductorias equivalentes a aproximadamente un tercio de la tarifa regular.
