The Idols SA season 18 winner Thapelo Molomo officially returned to work on Monday 12 December and it goes without saying that his colleagues were excited to have him back.

According to TshisaLive, the instant millionaire went on leave from his duties as a warrant officer at Brits police station in North West to focus on his music.

THAPELO BACK AT WORK AS WARRANT OFFICER The singer told the publication that his first day back was a beautiful one, my colleagues were so welcoming, everyone was so excited. We took a lot of pictures and they asked me many questions about how I am coping and questions surrounding my Idols SA experience .

The publication says Thapelo said that he does not plan on leaving his job. He will instead do his music after hours.

The police service has been a family to me, very supportive. They are very supportive of my music career. They indicated they will continue to support me provided I continue to do my work as expected. During the week most of the time I will be at work and do music after hours, like studio sessions and so forth.

Then weekend is definitely music nothing else. I'm excited to be part of the SAPS and about going back to work while juggling music, he said.

BERRY LEAVES KALAWA JAZMEE The previous winner of Idols SA Berry Trytsman has revealed that she has parted ways with the record label that signed her when she won the singing competition in 2021.
Announcing her departure from Kalawa Jazmee Records on Facebook, Berry said, I'm officially an independent artist and no longer signed to Kalawa or any other label - you can expect much more from me coming your way .
