EuroLabFocus 2014 provides the ideal platform for Fujifilm to showcase their latest innovations

Fujifilm is a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information systems for healthcare, with a range of constantly evolving, clinically proven, products and technologies designed to assist medical professionals perform efficiently and effectively. The company attended EuroLabFocus in 2014 to showcase their latest FUJIFILM DRI-CHEM (FDC) system, based on their multi-layered film method that was first pioneered in 1984.

In the past thirty years, various DRI-CHEM slides and analysers have been developed to fulfil the increasing needs of emergency testing and are now widely used as automatic clinical chemistry systems globally.

Held in Liverpool, this third joint conference of the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry & Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), was hosted by The Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine. The event took place at Liverpool's BT Convention Centre, and was held over four days in October.

FUJIFILM's DRI-CHEM solution was on display at the event, providing delegates with the opportunity to assess and evaluate its performance. It includes an automatic analyser for more convenient and reliable on-site operation, and features fast turn-around-time response and ease-of-use.

The FDC NX500 and FDC7000 systems are designed for all clinical settings, ranging from routine laboratory in small clinics, emergency testing and are equipped with the unique Plasma Separator function on-board, providing the ideal solution for Point-Of-Care-Testing.
