04 Ningbo Shopping Festival kicks off on August

The much-anticipated 2014 Ningbo Shopping Festival kicked off at the Yinzhou Wanda Plaza on August 1 and will run for 17 days.

With the theme of Happy Summer Shopping in Ningbo, this years shopping festival is being held mainly in Ningbo's 8 districts (Yinzhou, Haishu, Jiangbei, Jiangdong, Zhenhai, Beilun, Bonded Area and the High-tech Zone) simultaneously. Nearly 300 activities running through the areas of retail sales, wholesale, catering, accommodation, tourism, and leisure culture will be held to promote consumption during the festival, as well as shopping discounts that will be launched in all the districts.

In Haisu district, a Hong Kong Jewelry Exhibition, a Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition, and a 2014 Gulou Yansheng Shopping Feast will be held during the shopping festival. More than 100 activities will be held in Yinzhou District during the shopping festival, including 4 large-scale activities held at Wanda Plaza and 5 big events held at the Linksun Plaza. Besides, a total of 12,000 coupons worth RMB 1 million will be distributed on the internet. In Jiangbei district a Karaoke competition, a musical festival and a party themed for lovers of the city will be held during the festival.

During the shopping festival, an auto show, a series of scenic spots activities, and a dancing competition will be held in Haizhai District; 4 themed purchasing activities covering the area of wedding dresses, household goods, foods, and leisure entertainments will be held in the High-tech Zone; 4 shopping activities themed of Happy Shopping will be held in Beilun District; an imported goods exhibition will be held in the Bonded Area; and a Snow Culture Festival as well as other activities will be held in Jiangdong District.
