The non-executive board members will support Rise's mission of advancing gender diversity in the broadcast media technology industry

Gender diversity in broadcast media technology advocacy group Rise has appointed a board of non-executive directors, who will support the organisation's mission of advancing gender diversity in the broadcast media technology industry.

The appointments include vice president of production services at DAZN Claire de Silva, NEP Connect's finance director Samantha Harrison, chief product officer at INTO University Partnerships Namrata Sarmah, experienced business leader Tim Williams, Rise-Up Academy co-founder Andy Beale and media executive Charlotte Wheeler.

The newly established board will be responsible for the management and governance of Rise employees, including those of the Rise-Up Academy charity, and the Rise Advisory Boards in North America, Europe, APAC and now in India, as well as current and future initiatives.

We are delighted to welcome Claire, Sam, Namrata, Tim, Andy and Charlotte to our board of non-executive directors, said Donna Smith, managing director of Rise.

Rise has grown substantially over the past few years, bringing mentoring, awards, programme training and awareness to women around the world. With chapters in North America, Europe, APAC and now India, these new board members will provide Rise with strategic guidance and independent perspectives, contributing to our long-term growth and success.
