Hello - When the passionate scientist Paula (Peri Baumeister) suddenly disappears on her return journey from the International Space Station, her husband Sven (Florian David Fitz) and daughter Charlie (Yuna Bennett) are faced with a big mystery. What happened?

The teaser trailer for the new exciting limited series The Signal by and with Florian David Fitz takes us on a father and daughters search for their mother and wife. In the process, the two come across a growing amount of questions and mysterious clues.

The idea for the story comes from Nadine Gottmann and Sebastian Hilger. The authors are Florian David Fitz, Nadine Gottmann and Kim Zimmermann. It is directed by Sebastian Hilger and Philipp Leinemann and produced by Christian Springer, Amir Hamz, Fahri Yardim and Johannes Jancke. The limited series The Signal is a production of Bon Voyage Films GmbH.

The production was funded by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF), a funding program of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media (BKM), and VFX production was funded by Filmfernsehfonds Bayern (FFF).

About The Signal

Paula returns to Earth after months in orbit, but tragically, she never makes it home. The plane carrying her vanishes without a trace, leaving Sven and his daughter Charlie waiting in vain at the airport. Determined to find answers, Sven follows a clue left by Paula - a puzzle - but the more he unravels the mystery, the more his life falls apart and the greater the threat to him, Charlie, and ultimately, the world. As it turns out, Paula made an incredible discovery in the darkness of space while on the International Space Station.

The suspenseful mystery-drama The Signal, written by and starring Florian David Fitz, is a Netflix limited series of four episodes.
