Acatando escrupulosamente, a n sin compartirla, la orden del Ministerio de Industria, Energ a y Turismo, los operadores de televisi n cesaron en la medianoche de ayer la emisi n de nueve canales de TDT.
A pesar de la manifiesta disconformidad con la forma de aplicar la Sentencia del Tribunal Supremo y la seguridad, por parte de UTECA, de que exist an otras f rmulas que hubieran mantenido intacta la oferta de televisi n en abierto, y aunque est pendiente la resoluci n del Tribunal Constitucional, los operadores de televisi n privados que conforman UTECA han cumplido nuevamente con sus obligaciones y con la legalidad vigente.
UTECA ha destacado que los operadores renunciaron a nueve canales, dando el obligado cumplimiento a una resoluci n judicial que constata que fue la propia Administraci n quien incurri en una serie de errores y carencias formales. UTECA desea reiterar que se ha llegado a la actual situaci n por falta de voluntad pol tica, y que con esta decisi n se han lesionado gravemente los intereses de los operadores, y se han producido unos da os ya irreparables para la industria audiovisual espa ola, reduciendo la pluralidad de la oferta para los espectadores y agravando la ya de por s dif cil situaci n econ mica por la que atraviesan las empresas audiovisuales .
Una vez ejecutada la Sentencia, la principal preocupaci n de UTECA se traslada a los pr ximos pasos a dar por la Administraci n.
Con la cancelaci n de emisiones de los canales afectados, ha quedado claro que la seguridad jur dica de la televisi n en abierto est en grave riesgo , afirman desde la patronal.
Creemos que es necesario dotar de seguridad jur dica y de estabilidad al sector. El camino, al contrario de lo que ha sucedido hasta hoy, debe ser el di logo y el consenso con todos los agentes implicados en el sector. La situaci n actual, incluida la pr xima mudanza de frecuencia de los canales por el dividendo digital, debe ser aprovechada para prever un escenario estable para los pr ximos a os , defiende Andr s Armas, director general de UTECA.
Desde UTECA consideran de vital importancia dotar de seguridad jur dica a la oferta actual de 15 canales nacionales de TDT, as como asegurar el futuro de la alta definici n. Es necesario garantizar la pluralidad de la oferta y las posibles inversiones de los operadores. Por ello han solicitado al Gobierno, y m s en concreto al Ministerio de Industria, Energ a y Turismo que haga p blicos cuanto antes los proyectos de asignaci n del espectro radioel ctrico y que establezca los canales de comunicaci n adecuados para no volver a incurrir en una situaci n tan dolorosa como la vivida en la noche de ayer .
