As part of the International flavor Commfest Global Community Film Festival has been bringing to the diverse City of Toronto for the last nine years through great films, we are pleased to announce that for the 2014 event, COMMFFEST is expanding to cover the International art scene with several art exhibitions in different locations around Toronto, during the Festival regrouping renown painters, photographers, mixed media artists to display their art during the period of the event as collateral activities. For 2014 the event will take place from September 6-12th 2014, at the prestigious Rotunda, Metro Hall in the center of Toronto.
Sponsored by the City of Toronto, The Rotunda Hall is situated in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment district where 20,000 people per week walk through on their way to work, the Roy Thompson Hall, the Toronto International Film Festival Bell light box and surrounded by world-class hotels, restaurants, theatres, and clubs.
The event takes place at the same time as Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and COMMFFEST Film Festivals guaranteeing many attendees. COMMFFEST INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBIT held from 6-12 September 2014, will receive ample media exposure e.g. TV and press coverage, printed program catalogues, website and social media presence. The exciting opening night will be held at the Rotunda with special guests and dignitaries present.
In juxtaposition with COMMFFEST Global Community Film Festival the art exhibition is intended to inspire and provoke dialogue between artist and audiences alike. The theme of the exhibition will be around social and cultural issues addressing Global Communities.
One Artist will receive the MADA (Make a Difference Award) Award for the art that has made a difference on the impact concerning a relevant Social or Cultural issue addressing Global Communities.
