Build your very own Sochi Trolley with the Bon BSM-8H Super Bright Directors Monitor

You may have seen the famous Sochi Trolley as used by Clare Balding for the BBC at the Sochi Winter Olympics. Well, you can now buy that same super bright BON monitor as supplied for the trolley, here in the UK. This latest new product from Bon is the BSM-183H, an 18.5 super bright monitor for outdoor shooting. It is is already attracting attention from rental companies. It can also be married to a wireless receiver system. One of the first in the country, the monitor is now available from the UK Bon distributor Cache Media.

Cache Media MD Stuart Cameron commented: This monitor is attracting a lot of interest thanks to both the Sochi Olympics and its super bright screen which is easily watchable in strong sunlight from all angles Its a major advantage for directors shooting on location and particularly for commentators. Having a variety of inputs from 3G to composite and DVI + VGA makes it extremely flexible

Broadcast specialist Cache Media has recently been appointed the UK distributor of Bon products which were previously only available in the UK under an OEM agreement and badged as Evolution. Established in 1986, South Korea based Bon specialises in manufacturing broadcast and multimedia products from a strong development and manufacturing technology base.

As well as a wide viewing angle, which allows a large number of viewers at one time, the 183H has various preset markers for frame line generation to guide the user shooting area. The safety area is also displayed and can be adjusted by the user to check the safe viewable area.
