Most Valuable Promotions and Professional Fighters League Merge

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and the Professional Fighters League (PFL) have announced a merger that will operate under the MVP banner. PFL CEO John Martin will serve as CEO and board member of the combined company. Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian will be co-founders and board members, with Bidarian continuing to oversee MVP's boxing operations and Paul focused on audience growth, fighter development, and brand expansion.

Existing PFL shareholders 885 Capital and Knighthead Capital Management are becoming founding investors in the new entity, committing new capital to the combined company.

MVP will serve as the master brand for all combat sports properties. The PFL's fighter roster, global operations, and media assets will form the foundation of MVP MMA, with the migration to be completed in the coming months. The combined company will host five premium live events across boxing and MMA in August. Together, the two organizations bring nearly 400 athletes under one roof, with distribution relationships including Netflix, ESPN, Sky Sports, and PFL's existing network of 34 partners across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

PFL has staged more than 100 premium live events across 14 countries in seven years and in 2026 will produce 24 events across 11 countries, delivering approximately 150 hours of live content.
