Melbourne, November 2, 2013-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) and Reading Entertainment (Reading), a subsidiary of Reading International, Inc., (NASDAQ:RDI) announced today that Reading is the first movie exhibitor in Australia to install the Dolby Atmos cinema sound platform. Dolby Atmos, a new audio format, has been embraced by leading exhibitors worldwide, and more than 85 titles have been announced with Dolby Atmos, establishing it as one of the sound formats that content creators most prefer. The adoption of Dolby Atmos will allow Reading to offer a captivating listening experience with more natural, realistic sound that truly envelops the audience, transporting them into the onscreen story, while staying true to the filmmakers original artistic intent.

With 55 surround sound speakers and the latest in digital projection, we are very excited about launching our new concept. We look forward to bringing the very best in presentation and sound to the people of Geelong.
With Dolby Atmos, audiences are no longer just watching a movie, they are experiencing it, said Mahesh Sundaram, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Dolby Laboratories. Dolby Atmos is quickly becoming the preferred choice for next-generation sound in the cinema with major studios, directors, sound teams, and exhibitors rapidly adopting the solution. We are very excited and honored to be working with Reading to bring the immersive Dolby Atmos cinema audio experience to more moviegoers in Australia.

About Dolby Atmos
Dolby Laboratories is equipping the cinema world with its new Dolby Atmos technology. Dolby Atmos unleashes the potential of sound in storytelling by making it easy for filmmakers to place or move specific sounds anywhere in the movie theatre. The result is what moviegoers have described as a virtual reality of sound and the most engaging and lifelike cinema experience ever.
Introduced in April 2012, Dolby Atmos has been embraced by all major Hollywood studios, six Academy Award winning directors, and 11 Academy Award winning sound mixers, among others. More than 300 Dolby Atmos screens have been installed or committed to in 33 countries with more than 100 exhibitors. Eighty-five films from 10 different countries-representing a broad range of genres-have been or are scheduled to be released with Dolby Atmos sound since the first film debuted in June 2012.
