Sony Opens a Digital Motion Picture Centre at Pinewood Studios near London The new facilities of DMPC (E) reaffirm Sonys commitment to help filmmakers to capitalize and develop new digital technologies.
Sony today announced the upcoming opening of a new Digital Motion Picture Centre in Europe, right in the center of the section devoted to film production: Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire (United Kingdom).
Directors of Photography, camera equipment, facilities rental and postproduction, and freelance operators around the production sector are welcome.
"These new facilities will serve as a meeting place for members of the European production sector, who can share knowledge and discover the latest developments in technology," remarked Katsunori Yamanouchi, vice president of Sony Professional Solutions Europe.
Since it is intended to promote the collective experience of Sony, its strategic partners and network of distributors Sony Professional Solutions specialists, the facility will have Family Super 35mm CineAlta cameras from Sony, including innovative new models F65 and F55 and
"Sony has a long history in regard to the development of cutting-edge technology, including the worlds first 24P camera," said Peter Sykes, head of strategic technology from Sony.
In addition to meeting the training requirements, the DMPC (E) also play an important role in helping Sony to meet user requirements and thus develop the product correctly.
"To preserve the future success of Sony is essential to analyze the key issues and seize sector to advance the art of digital production," said Katsunori Yamanouchi.
