Use any VST3 plug-in on immersive audio

Fiedler Audio have just released a powerful new plug-in wrapper that brings full VST3 processing to Dolby Atmos and other immersive audio formats. Designed for modern immersive mixing and mastering duties, Armada enables audio professionals to put their favourite VST3 plug-ins to work across virtually any channel configuration, from good old mono and stereo to complex immersive formats such as 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos, NHK 22.2, Higher Order Ambisonics, Auro-3D and more.

Armada has been designed to bring immersive audio support to any VST3 plug-in, allowing users to continue using their favourite tools when working with even the most complex multi-channel formats. It supports up to 128 channels, and includes a built-in channel mixer that allows users to customise their output configurations, along with some flexible grouping options that make it possible to organise sets of channels and apply processing across them quickly and efficiently.

When used in Fiedler's Dolby Atmos Composer and Mastering Console applications, Armada is capable of processing an entire Dolby Atmos mix with any VST3 plug-in in a single instance; the feat is made possible by the company's OBAM (Object Based Audio Module) plug-in format, which has been developed specifically for immersive audio processing - you can find out more here.
