RTM Productions, producers of PowerNation and PowerBlock automotive television programs airing on Spike, NBC Sports Nework (NBCSN) and CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), has promoted Matthew Hawkins to President, effective August 1.
Currently serving as Executive Vice President, Hawkins joined RTM in 2006 as Vice President of Marketing and Digital Media.
The company is also pleased to announce that current RTM President Joe St. Lawrence, who founded RTM 26 years ago, will continue with the company in a senior advisory role.
We are very proud to announce Matthew Hawkins has been named President of RTM, said St. Lawrence, who founded RTM with his wife, Patty in 1989. Matthew has been instrumental in the success and growth of RTM over the past decade. Having Matthew lead RTM in the future has been my desire for some time. His hard work and vision has put RTM in a great position to serve our advertisers as we move into the digital age. It is the perfect time for Matthew to be promoted to President of RTM.
It is extremely exciting to take on this new challenge, said Hawkins, Having been a part of the RTM family for almost a decade, I am fully invested in the continued development and growth of RTM and it's cross-media platforms. Under Joe St. Lawrence's leadership, RTM became the leader in the automotive how-to space. I look forward to building on that success.
Hawkins will report to veteran broadcast executive Cary Glotzer, CEO of RTM and Tupelo-Honey Raycom, a sister company of RTM.
Based in Franklin, Tenn. and New York, N.Y., RTM Productions is a full-service television marketing and media company specializing in automotive tech content. RTM currently airs four auto shows in a two-hour block under its PowerNation title including Xtreme Off Road, Engine Power, Truck Tech and Detroit Muscle. PowerNation blocks are distributed on Spike TV, NBCSN and CBSSN as well as online at PowerNationTV.com and the PowerNationTV app. RTM has supplied outdoor and entertainment program series and specials to CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN2, NBC Sports Network, The Outdoor Channel, Outdoor Life Network, Spike TV, TNN, as well as domestic syndication and international distribution. RTM launched the PowerBlock TV Roku channel in spring, 2015.
Founded in 1989 by executive producers Patty and Joe St. Lawrence, RTM became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raycom Media in 2014. RTM operates a state-of-the-art 50,000 sq. ft. multi-media production tech center in Franklin.
