NEW YORK, NY, May 13, 2014 Hauppauge Computer Works, Inc. a leading developer and manufacturer of HD video streaming and recording devices, announced at Streaming Media East in New York City that its popular streaming device, StreamEez-Pro, has joined the new Works With Wowza partner program. The Works With Wowza partner program from Wowza Media Systems, LLC, the leader in Simply Powerful Streaming software, simplifies video streaming for joint Hauppauge-Wowza customers by providing improved integration, joint support, and end- to-end guidance.
Video streaming is becoming mission critical for organizations of all types and sizes, which is why we are excited that Hauppauge joined our Works With Wowza program, said David Stubenvoll, CEO and co-founder at Wowza Media Systems. By working together we increase access to high-quality, efficient video streaming solutions and enable more organizations to tap into the power of live video.
The StreamEez-Pro system includes the StreamEez-Pro device, a high definition studio quality H.264 encoder, plus the StreamEez-Pro application to make the setup and transmission of live Internet events simple enough for non-technical people to use. StreamEez-Pro connects to a PC over USB, has an HDMI connector for receiving video from HD cameras and compresses the HDMI video into H.264 form optimized for Internet streaming.
StreamEez-Pro enables organizations to stream town hall meetings, church gatherings and local sports events over the Internet to hundreds or thousands of viewers. With the Works With Wowza partner program, more customers will benefit from a simplified video streaming process enabling them to deliver high-quality, live video streams from any event.
Together, Hauppauge and Wowza provide customers with tested, integrated and supported end-to-end streaming solutions enabling reliable and efficient video streaming options. Learn more about the Works With Wowza partner program at http://www.wowza.com/partners/works-with-wowza.
The StreamEez-Pro system includes two parts: the StreamEez high definition video encoder and a StreamEez-Pro application for Windows that allows the control and management of a live-streamed event. The StreamEez video encoder is a rugged, high quality real-time HD encoder that converts HDMI video into H.264 with AAC audio, the most widely used format for streaming video over the Internet. The StreamEez video encoder accepts HDMI video at up to 1080p60 and has a down scaler that converts video to a lower resolution format, such as 720p, on the fly . The StreamEez encoder also includes a logo inserter that can take a transparent PNG file and overlay it on top of the live video. There is an HDMI output port that can be used to connect to a video monitor.
StreamEez-Pro has a retail price of $269 and is available from Video Guys.
