Talented actress Mosa Nkwashu, who is popularly known as Lewatle in Skeem Saam, who is also a model has just returned from competing in a beauty pageant in the United States, where she was scouted by modelling agencies.

MOSA NKWASHU: SCOUTED BY MODELLING AGENCIES The model and Skeem Saam actress Mosa Nkwashu tells Daily Sun that she's proud of herself even though she didn't land the crown in the United States.

From 18 to 28 November, I was in Orlando, Florida to compete in the International Junior Miss Pageant with 32 other girls from different countries.

Of course, I was hoping to bring the crown back home as there's no better feeling than making your nation and supporters proud.

The model adds that she instead walked away with a few awards and got scouted by nine modelling agencies.

SKEEM SAAM' ACTRESS: IT STARTED IN A GARAGE' The actress, who plays a teenager Lewatle at Turfloop High also tells Daily Sun that she started modelling in a garage.

I always tell people that it all started in a garage. I grew up watching modelling shows like America's Next Top Model with Tyra Banks but it all started when there was a beauty pageant at school.

I told my mom I would like to enter and she got me a pair of heels. My sister, who also has a passion for modelling, taught me how to walk in those heels in the garage every day.

The actress-model says she sees herself working with a few of the agencies that I got scouted by and hopefully America will be her second home.
