Yorkshire's Production Park has announced a major expansion.

Following news that the Wakefield facility provided the base for a forthcoming Netflix series produced under the working title, Adolescence, the creative industries hub is making a significant investment to grow the campus.

Image: Production Park Aiming to meet increasing demand for production spaces, four new production studios will be developed, with the campus offering 145,000 square feet of studio space by 2025.

Underlining Production Park's commitment to foster innovation across the creative industries, there will be expanded facilities for education and collaboration with supply chain partners, said the company.

In addition to enhancing its offer to film, TV and commercial productions, the expansion will benefit The Academy of Live Technology, with a larger space in which to deliver training for the next generation of creative professionals.

Work on the phased plan will begin early next year, with the first studios expected to be opened during the second quarter.
