IABM launches BaM Shop Window

IABM has launched a ground-breaking new service for broadcast and media technology buyers - the BaM Shop Window. The BaM Shop Window aims to bring all of the products and services available across the industry together into a single portal to enable appropriate solutions and alternatives to be quickly and efficiently discovered by technology buyers. It already includes over 1 000 products and services from IABM members, and that number will grow rapidly now that it has been launched; technology vendors do not have to be IABM members to list their products in the Shop Window.

The BaM Shop Window is structured around IABM's BaM Content Chain model describing the industry in the same way that broadcast and media companies themselves think, using the same terminology. It is based on the creative, operational, economic and technical activities supporting the content supply chain: mapping how a piece of content gets from creator to consumer. This makes the BaM Shop Window uniquely buyer-friendly, enabling relevant products and services to be quickly found and compared. The BaM Shop Window can be found here.

Every product/service listing includes not only product name and area of application, but also gives vendors the opportunity to provide specifications, technical details, diagrams and images, as well as a link back to the vendor's website for more in-depth information.

Over the last few years, it has become increasingly apparent that technology buyers in broadcast and media organisations simply do not have the time to trawl many disparate sources to find the products and services they need, and they asked us if we could help, said Peter White, IABM CEO.

The BaM Shop Window is our response and, as well as making it easy for buyers to find what they need, it also gives smaller, up-and-coming companies who do not have large marketing budgets the chance to get great exposure to buyers.
