These new cases have been engineered to maintain the same level of durability, but reduce the weight of each case by up to 40 percent and offer additional sizes to the current Peli Protector and Peli Storm case lines.

Peli s engineering team faced the challenge of building lightness into every facet of the design without compromising Pelis renowned durability. By working with a team of materials scientists, Peli was able to construct cases that are the lightest protective cases on the market today. Available in six travel-ready sizes, Peli Air cases are constructed of premium lightweight HPX2 resin, the next generation of Pelis proprietary formula that rebounds from stress without breaking. With the traveller in mind, the 1535 Peli Air case (Wheeled Carry On) and the 1615 Peli Air case (Wheeled Check In model) complies with current airline size regulations. Additional models are currently in development with more than 20 new sizes coming over the next 18 months. Each case passes the same rigorous performance tests (impact, drop, submersion, high and low temperature) that Peli has subjected its cases to for 40 years. Peli Air cases will be available in several configurations: the case (No Foam), Case with Pick N Pluck foam and the case with Padded Dividers which are redesigned with a fully-sewn tub, felt surfaces and high-visibility yellow interior. The TrekPak system which is a completely new divider system with rigid, customizable panels and locking pins will be available with the Air case range.
