VideoCentric Launches Pexip -Powered VideoCloud 365 Video Conferencing Service
Flexible Cloud Solution Relies on Infinity to Securely Connect to Any Professional Video Conferencing, Mobile, Lync, Skype, and Web Client
Pexip , a leading innovator in scalable, distributed videoconferencing software, today announced that prominent U.K. video communications integrator VideoCentric has selected Pexip Infinity to power VideoCloud 365 a high-quality "super green" video conferencing service. By incorporating industry-leading software from Pexip, the cloud-based VaaS allows meeting participants to connect on any device using any software, bringing an incredibly simple video conferencing solution to today s dynamic enterprise environment.
"Anywhere/anytime visual communications are a major enabler for organizations looking to create a more flexible, collaborative, and productive workforce," said David Shimell, Managing Director at VideoCentric. "By incorporating Pexip s software-based Infinity platform into VideoCloud 365, we re able to ensure that our service remains scalable, secure, and incredibly easy to use for staff members on any video conferencing endpoint. No other provider in the marketplace offers this level of flexibility, letting members in boardrooms, huddle rooms, or remote locations collaborate more effectively."
Launching in February 2015, VideoCloud 365 enables seamless interoperability between any professional video conferencing endpoint, such as any standards-based video system, Microsoft Lync , desktop software clients, mobile applications, Web browsers, WebRTC, Skype , and even Office 365 users. Deployed from the U.K. s most energy-efficient data center, the innovative service lets businesses provide secure, high-quality video communications for entire workforces without the need to deploy any on-premise infrastructure on their network.
"VideoCentric shares our philosophy, and with VideoCloud 365, the company has developed a solution that seeks to remove the barriers that often impede enterprises from providing seamless face-to-face unified communications and collaboration," said Simen Teigre, Pexip CEO and Co-founder. "These include, for instance, upfront costs, in-house technical expertise, and the ability to reach conference members on any endpoint. With VideoCloud 365, customers obtain a professional subscription-based VaaS solution that lets organizations increase collaboration while recouping their investments in a few short months."
In addition to providing the highest levels of interoperability available, VideoCloud 365 also enables bi-directional Lync data sharing, is fully customizable for any organization s branding, and holds numerous certifications, including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS, and ListX.
Pexip Infinity is a software-based virtualized meeting platform that simplifies the user experience for face-to-face communications in conferences that include Microsoft Lync, legacy video, and WebRTC-connected users reinventing the way organizations can meet and collaborate visually from any device. Running in existing data centers, or in private and/or public clouds, the distributed software platform provides the scalability to accommodate any number of users anywhere in the world.
