
ITV News opts for Sony XDCAM for its informative to HD migration ITV ha invertido en m s de 190 c maras Sony PMW-400 y PMW-200 para sus equipos, as como en el material para producci n en exteriores correspondiente.Las herramientas de producci n XDCAM de Sony ofrecen flexibilidad y agilidad para los equipos informativos regionales.
Sony ha anunciado un acuerdo con ITV para colaborar con el broadcaster brit nico en la migraci n de sus operaciones de informativos a HD. ITV ha invertido en m s de 190 c maras Sony PMW-400 y PMW-200 para sus equipos, as como en el material para producci n en exteriores correspondiente. Las nuevas c maras y herramientas XDCAM se utilizar n en todas las operaciones de informativos regionales de ITV News, lo que permite la continuidad de su flujo de trabajo y una transici n fluida desde la captaci n hasta el almacenamiento a corto plazo y la transferencia de datos.
Paul Stevenson, director de tecnolog a y operaciones t cnicas de ITV News, sostiene que pasar todas nuestras operaciones de informativos regionales a HD es un paso fundamental para nosotros. En el r pido mundo de los informativos, la capacidad de capturar f cilmente y transmitir contenido de alta calidad es esencial, y nuestro acuerdo con Sony proporciona a nuestros equipos herramientas l deres en el sector para ofrecer siempre el material que necesitan, as como poder integrar a la perfecci n sus grabaciones en nuestro flujo de trabajo de producci n de informativos general .
El flujo de trabajo con XDCAM de Sony fue uno de los factores clave en nuestra decisi n final. A trav s de la inversi n en esta tecnolog a nuestros equipos podr n f cilmente capturar, editar y exportar su contenido como ficheros de datos, algo fundamental en nuestra modernizaci n de las herramientas y los procesos que usamos en los informativos , ha a adido Stevenson.
El nuevo kit permite tambi n grabar material en SD para su uso en el entorno de producci n DVCAM existente de ITV News. La PMW-200 y la PMW-400 son ambas compatibles con el est ndar DVCAM, lo que permite que los equipos de noticias usen el nuevo equipo inmediatamente mientras la transici n a HD se completa.
Chris Nairn, responsable de ventas de Sony Profesional, reconoce que hemos trabajado en estrecha colaboraci n con ITV en el paso de sus informativos regionales a HD, asegur ndonos de que ofrecemos el mejor equipo y asistencia que nos sea posible. La PMW-200 satisface la necesidad de alta calidad necesaria para las emisiones HD al mismo tiempo que ofrece una portabilidad y rentabilidad que hacen que se considere una de las mejores herramientas para informativos en el mercado. Esta inversi n en XDCAM ser un apoyo para que ITV siga siendo l der en este mercado, ayudando a establecer un referente dentro el sector para la producci n de informativos en 2014 .
ITV tambi n ha invertido en adaptadores inal mbricos CBK-WA101 de Sony, que aceleran el flujo de trabajo en informativos ya que permiten transmitir sin problemas contenido a trav s de una red inal mbrica desde cualquiera de las nuevas PMW-400L de la empresa. Conect ndose directamente a la PMW-400L, el adaptador CBK-WA101 permite la transmisi n tanto de ficheros proxy como de contenido de alta resoluci n a una cadena de TV, un servidor en las instalaciones o un entorno de nube mediante 3G, 4G, LTE y Wi-Fi.
Los decks PMW-1000 y el grabador port til PMW-50 tambi n formar n parte del equipamiento de ITV. El PMW-1000 es un deck para grabaci n en memoria SxS que posee dos ranuras para tarjetas de memoria SxS ExpressCard y proporciona varios modos de grabaci n y reproducci n en formatos HD y SD, incluido XDCAM HD422 a 50 Mbps. Tambi n admite el c dec XAVC HD. En cuanto al PMW-50 es un robusto grabador port til SxS dual, compatible con todos los formatos, incluidos los de la familia XDCAM EX y XDCAM HD422, de serie. Tambi n cuenta con entradas HD/SD-SDI y con toda una variedad de salidas: anal gica compuesta, HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, audio anal gico, auriculares, iLink y USB.
Two versatile cameras
La PMW-400L es una c mara de broadcast vers til, con tres sensores CMOS de 2/3 y un reductor interno de bandas destellantes para el trabajo de informativos. Este destacar que este camcorder admite el c dec XAVC para grabaciones HD422 a 10 bits, una capacidad que pronto estar disponible a trav s de una actualizaci n gratuita del firmware a principios de verano de 2014.
Por su parte, la PMW-200 de Sony es la sucesora de la popular PMW-EX1/R y graba en formato Full HD 422 a 50 Mbps. Esta c mara port til de su categor a equipada con tres sensores Exmor CMOS de 1/2 , la PMW-200 proporciona una excelente sensibilidad y profundidad de campo.
