The length of animation Seoul Station of the Korean Yeon Sang-Ho, prize for best film at the FANT 2017 The jury prize for best short at the Festival of fantastic cinema of Bilabo has been granted to La Voce David Ulloth; the best Basque short film award went to Bestealdetik of Mar Gonzalez Ruiz.
The jury of the XXIII Edition of the fantastic Film Festival of Bilbao - FANT 23, integrated by the actress Melina Matthews, writer, director, and screenwriter of film, Elio Quiroga, and the director, screenwriter and journalist Seville, Miguel ngel Vivas, awarded prize FANT 2017 to the best film, the animated feature Seoul Station, (Korea of the South, 2016) filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho.
The jury of FANT has opted for this film "for out of the stereotypes of the animation and make fully human characters". Yeon Sang-ho also signed the script of this film set at the central station of Seoul, becoming overnight in a home for beggars. Meanwhile, a girl breaks up with her boyfriend and seeks refuge in the terminal, but there is only a horde of vagrants turned into zombies.
In the short film section, the jury awarded the prize for best short work La Voce (Canada, 2016, 20) David Uloth. The Court has opted for this work of fiction by "the way in which describes the hypersensitivity of the protagonists through sound, music and image and find beauty in the most unexpected places".
The award for best Basque short, the discretion of the jury, has been for the work of fiction Bestealdetik (2016, 15 min) Mar Gonzalez Ruiz de Larramendi, who have justified in "the risk of its proposed aesthetics and as with the simple look of an actor can be transmitted something as elusive as the end of a life".
For its part, the public of this edition of the Festival of fantastic cinema of Bilbao - FANT 22 voted as best short film The App (Spain, 2016), a fiction of 16 minutes from Julian Merino.

This edition the festival will also present its honorary awards no prize, best feature film and best short film of the fantastic Panorama section. The jury charge has been integrated by writer and researcher of the cinema of fantasy genre, acute Angel, journalist and film critic, Iratxe Fresneda, and also journalist and critic of fantastic cinema, Javier Donate.
In this way, the award for best feature film in the Panorama section has been to A Floresta Das Almas Perdidas, Jos Pedro Lopes (Portugal, 2016), and received a special mention Therapy of Nathan Ambrosioni (France, 2016). In the category of short films award has been to Einstein Rosen, Olga Osorio (Spain, 2016).
The Gala of delivery of prizes of the Festival, organized by the city of Bilbao, will be held today at 8 oclock in room BBK - Gran Via, with the special screening of the film PET by Carles Torrens. Also a FANT award of Honor, will be delivered to the Bilbao director Pedro Rivero and the new star of the fantastic award, which wants to distinguish an entire career within the genus, us actress, Barbara Crampton.
