Big Inks Deals with NeuLion, Campus Insiders to Expand Digital Platform

The Big 12 Conference has announced an agreement with NeuLion and Campus Insiders to enhance the Big 12 digital presence and allow access to information on the league and its member schools.

NeuLion will continue hosting the Conference's digital platform, including Big12Sports.com. In addition, the company will also showcase the league through mobile applications, live streaming of events, and a Big 12-branded affiliate video portal that will be available on websites in the conference footprint and across the nation. The Big 12 digital platform will also be the interactive destination for all game-related video content, including highlights, condensed games, and full archives. The agreement is a four-year extension of a partnership that began in 2008 and will run through the 2016-17 athletic season.

Growth of the conference's digital platforms was paramount in reaching this agreement, says Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. We are excited to enter into this arrangement and look forward to enhancing the coverage of the Big 12, its student-athletes and member institutions

Campus Insiders will assist in the facilitation of the Big 12 Digital Network powered by Campus Insiders. The network will showcase the competitions, coaches and student-athletes in every Big 12-sponsored sport. In addition, Campus Insiders will staff a new Big 12 Digital Network Correspondent position, working out of the conference office to provide additional coverage of the league, its 23 championship sports, and important events on Big 12 campuses throughout the year.

The Conference website at Big12Sports.com will also continue its current original content both video and written by Big 12 Insider Wendell Barnhouse. A redesign of the site will take place in conjunction with the debut of new Big 12 branding initiatives in 2014. Additional components of the digital network will be added in the coming months, including enhancements to mobile platforms and more.
