View Master Events Powers Greece's First Fully Operational 4K UHD OB Truck with Grass Valley Technology

MONTREAL, CANADA - June 16, 2025 - Grass Valley, the media and entertainment industry's leading technology innovator, today announced a significant advancement in Greek media production: the operation of the country's first fully equipped 4K UHD Outside Broadcast (OB) truck. Owned by Live Productions and operated by View Master Events, the truck features a full 12G UHD HDR signal chain centered on 12 Grass Valley LDX 98 cameras.

The OB truck has already been successfully deployed for a variety of live productions in Greece and internationally, establishing a new standard for mobile live production in the region. View Master Events, a highly experienced production company, manages the truck's operations, delivering complex live broadcasts with a focus on quality, flexibility, and efficiency.

The LDX 98 cameras support native 4K UHD capture with high dynamic range and wide color gamut compliance with ITU-R BT.2020 standards. Their ability to operate across 1.5G, 3G, and 12G workflows, combined with 3X and 6X super slow-motion options and simultaneous live and high-speed outputs, allows the production team to adapt quickly to varying broadcast requirements. This flexibility reduces operational complexity and increases productivity while maintaining premium image quality.

The system was designed and integrated by Telmaco S.A., Grass Valley's trusted partner in Greece for more than 25 years. Telmaco provided the full Grass Valley camera package and integration services, working closely with View Master Events to create a scalable, modern OB platform.
