Breakrough Entertainment Receives 5 Canadian Screen Awards Nominations

Less Than Kind Gathers 12 Nominations As Breakthrough's Popular Children's Animated Series Rocket Monkeys And Acclaimed Theatrical Motion Picture Also Earn Canadian Screen Award Recognition.

TORONTO (January 14, 2014) - Breakthrough Entertainment's Less Than Kind has emerged as a top nomination-getter for this year's Canadian Screen Awards as the celebrated comedy series received a total of 12 nominations. Rocket Monkeys - Breakthrough's hotly popular animated comedy series for kids - and the studio's much talked about theatrical motion picture Cas & Dylan were also nomination recipients.

Categories included in the 12 nominations for Less Than Kind, the Montefiore Films-produced dramatic comedy, are Best Direction in a Comedy Program, Best Writing in a Comedy Program or Series and Bell Media Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress in a Continuing Leading Comedic Role. Additional nominations include Best Photography in a Comedy Program or Series, Best Picture Editing in a Comedy, Variety or Performing Arts Program or Series, Best Achievement in Casting and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role or Guest Role in a Comedic Series. Breakthrough's international animated hit, Rocket Monkeys is up for Best Performance in an Animated Program or Series. Breakthrough's feature film, Cas & Dylan, is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role on behalf of Tatiana Maslany, who plays the eponymous Dylan alongside Richard Dreyfuss as Cas.
