Marquis XPro to Support REDCODE RAW (RD)

Marquis Broadcast, specialist in content workflows and media integration software, has announced the latest version of X2Pro, its cutting edge conversion application for delivering Final Cut Pro X projects to Avid Pro Tools for audio finishing, will now support REDCODE RAW (R3D).

R3D is a proprietary multimedia audio/video file format owned by the Red Digital Cinema Camera Company and features lossy compression for video contents and lossless for audio contents, explains Neil Attard, director new products, Marquis Broadcast. X2Pro Audio Convert 2.1.9 will now allow media from Red Digital cameras to be exported from FCPX to Pro Tools for audio finishing for the first time.

X2Pro uses Marquis' Media Highway, the core technology employed by Marquis' media integration products to integrate Final Cut Pro X into professional audio workflows, delivering seamless integration between the two applications, continues Attard. X2Pro Audio Convert 2.1.9 is aimed at Professional users of audio and video and comes with new features delivering more control, faster turnaround, smaller AAF files and better laid out tracks in your DAW.

Additional features in the latest version of X2Pro include the provision for muted clips in FCP X to be either muted or excluded from the AAF file via an option in X2Pros Preferences, plus the functionality which enables X2Pro to remember the state of roles (which roles are excluded and their order) between sessions.

X2Pro Version 2.1.9 is only available on the Mac App Store at £99.99/$149.99. X2ProLE is a lower cost version for those who do not need audio files referenced, media trimmed, or close control of the conversion of Roles. X2ProLE users can upgrade to the full Pro version with an In App Purchase.
