NAB 2026: EVS introduces Choreon robotics orchestration platform for unified production control

EVS (Booth N1841) has launched Choreon, a robotics controller for media production within its T-Motion solution, introducing a unified orchestration layer designed to bring multiple robotic systems into a single control environment.

The platform is being demonstrated at NAB Show 2026 and is designed to support production environments ranging from single-operator setups to large-scale multi-robot workflows. It enables operators to manage multiple robotic systems through one interface rather than separate device-specific controls.

Choreon is positioned as a shift in how robotic production systems are coordinated across indoor and outdoor environments. It supports simultaneous control of multiple devices within a single workflow, with the aim of reducing operational complexity and improving consistency in execution.

The platform supports EVS's T-Motion robotics portfolio, including PTZ cameras, robotic heads, tracks, elevators, rovers, jibs, gyro systems and Cablecam, as well as selected third-party devices. These systems can be combined within a unified environment for production workflows.

Choreon incorporates AI-assisted features including automated framing, path planning and motion profiling, while maintaining operator control of production decisions. The system standardises operational parameters such as speed, acceleration and motion curves across connected devices.

Choreon represents a significant step forward in how robotic systems are deployed and managed in live production, said Benoit Dentan, VP T-Motion Robotics Solution at EVS. The launch of Choreon comes just months after our acquisitions of Telemetrics and XD Motion, said Serge Van Herck, CEO of EVS. The system is designed with a dedicated control surface including a touchscreen interface and tactile controls, alongside safety features such as configurable safe zones and multi-sensor protection for use in live production environments.

EVS stated that Choreon is intended to support applications across broadcast, live sports, studio production and immersive environments including AR, VR and XR, as well as venues such as stadiums, parliaments, houses of worship and esports events.
