LiveU has partnered with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts this season to provide live video technology solutions to the team. The Colts use LiveU's LU500 backpack transmission unit to easily and rapidly cover exciting live events such as press conferences, player arrivals, and interviews. In addition to the LU500, the Colts utilize LiveU's LU-Smart smartphone application so reporters or staff can use their iPhones, iPads, and Android devices for live streaming.
The LU500 has allowed the Indianapolis Colts to instantly connect with its fans in more ways, including streaming unique, engaging content such as a pre-game show hosted by Kevin Bowen and Steve Andreas, before each home or away game. The Colts make the most of the portability of its LiveU unit by having the show take its fans to the field to discuss important topics around the game. In addition to the Colts' pre-game show, the team also uses the LU500 to capture behind-the-scenes content when on the road, in order to continuously keep Colts fans connected to their home team regardless of location.
