Premiere at photokina: LightArt Congress 2016 The photokina LightArt Congress 2016 (phoLAC 2016) will take place for the first time from 23 to 24 September 2016 as a cooperative event in the context of photokina 2016. The phol LAC 2016 is a cooperative event realised jointly by the German Light Painting Union (GLPU) and the renowned light art photographer and artist JanLeonardo W llert and his team.

Light art photography and light painting have become trend themes. Corporations, camera manufacturers and advertising have already discovered the magic and fascination of the theme of light. photokina 2016 sets the interplay of light, performance and photography on the agenda with the phoLAC 2016 for light art photographers and trade fair visitors. With leading art photographers from Canada, China, USA, the UK, France, Belgium and Spain, as well as Germany, the congress will feature international speakers and artists. In addition to lectures and workshops revolving around the themes of LightArt photography, term exposure and light painting, which will take place on Friday and Saturday in the Congress Centre East, an international light painting screen exhibition and light painting photoBOX will be presented on the fair grounds. Already in advance of photokina, the organisers are planning outdoor events, public workshops and flash mobs to present the theme effectively for the media. About JanLeonardo W llert

JanLeonardo W llert has for many years been one of the most renowned international light art photographers. His works enjoy a great deal of international respect and recognition. The artist has realised global campaigns for corporations like the computer manufacturer Lenovo, Japan Tobacco, Nike, the Japanese Automotive Assocaiation or the band Coldplay. He is the organiser of the International Light Painting Award and has created a major international stage for light painting through his considerable commitment.
