Vocas to Show Its Latest products at the NAB Show in Las Vegas

Vocas Systems, a leading manufacturer of professional quality camera accessories, will showcase its latest line-up of matte boxes, rail supports, focus controllers and other products at NAB 2014 .

Two new matte boxes will be on display, the MB-455 (an upgraded version of the popular MB-450) and the MB-435 (an upgrade of the MB-430). Both matte boxes feature a maximum lens diameter of 143mm, an industry standard. For clip-on use these matte boxes work with 143mm lenses right out of the box. They can also be used with smaller lenses through the use of step-down adapter rings. A variety of accessories are available including side flags, 15mm (Studio and Lightweight) brackets, 19mm brackets and swing-away options. Improvements to the matte boxes allow them to be used with many different types of bellows and step down rings made by Vocas and other manufactures.

BP-18, Vocas's new 19mm dovetail rail support, will be shown for the first time at NAB. The new base plate can be used to mount a variety of large, heavy cameras including the Sony F65 and various ARRI cameras, and can also be used lighter cameras such as the RED Epic and Scarlet via a new spacer. BP-18 has a detachable centre that rotated to allow the camera attachment screws to can be positioned in the centre of the 19mm rails or off-centre. Its industry-standard dovetail connection and 19mm rods make it ideal to create a setup with a big lens and large matte box. The device's built-in rosette system accommodates a variety of accessories for mounting.

Vocas will also show an all new cage system. The cage allows top handles to be mounted to cameras lacking them, such as those made by Blackmagic Design. It also allows top bars to be mounted from the front of the camera to the back, resulting in a solid top rails system for accessories. A Sony viewfinder attachment can also be mounted to the top handle of the cage system to accommodate viewfinder brackets from different manufacturers. The cage system fits directly onto Vocas F5/F55 base plates as well as USBP plates. In tandem with separate 15mm rail brackets, the Vocas cage can also be used on every available 15mm standard rail system.
