Ericsson ha sido seleccionada por Jupiter Telecommunications (J:Com) para gestionar su servicio de TV de ltima generaci n. El mayor operador de cable japon s ha elegido la plataforma de TV MediaFirst de Ericsson para ofrecer una experiencia de TV multipantalla mejorada y personalizada a sus 3,7 millones de suscriptores. La base de dise o b sico comenzar en el cuarto trimestre de 2017 y las compa as reforzar n el acuerdo de desarrollo posterior.
La plataforma ofrecer a los suscriptores de J:Com nuevas caracter sticas, incluyendo experiencia personalizada y continuada en todas las pantallas y la posibilidad de visionar TV en directo, as como acceso a contenido bajo demanda en todos los dispositivos. Ericsson desplegar tambi n el est ndar industrial RDK en los descodificadores de J:Com y un sistema de acceso condicional para permitir la distribuci n de contenido Ultra HD. Adem s, supondr nuevas oportunidades de monetizaci n como servicios eficaces de recomendaci n de contenido, benefici ndose de la anal tica avanzada de datos de Ericsson.

Ericsson MediaFirst TV Platform es una plataforma basada en la nube, definida por software y optimizada para medios. La plataforma de TV MediaFirst ofrece una experiencia multipantalla convergente incluyendo televisi n de pago (Pay TV) en el hogar, TV Everywhere y servicios OTT. Soporta todas las fuentes de contenido y redes de distribuci n y se integra en el est ndar RDK, permitiendo a los operadores aprovechar el software b sico com n del RDK, al tiempo que mantienen la capacidad de proporcionar una experiencia de TV diferenciada al cliente.
