Belden has served offshore operators since the 1940s when the first offshore well drilled from a fixed platform went into production. Belden cable with continuous armor capability plus control and instrumentation cable with low smoke, zero halogen jackets
Hirschmann cord sets that are sealed and oil resistant
Hirschmann RSP rugged redundant networking switches with zero failover time
EAGLE Tofino security devices that protect offshore production systems from malware and network incidents
Belden's products work together to secure offshore platforms and provide high network availability. The Hirschmann RSP switches send duplicate packets over the redundant media, ensuring that if one link fails, communication continues uninterrupted on the other. No reconfiguration time is required. This keeps the system available after a physical failure or physical attack. Of course, the use of Belden Ethernet cable with continuous armor helps to prevent a physical failure in the first place.
The EAGLE Tofino security solution prevents attackers from tampering with the redundancy protocols used by the switches and also protects from any downtime caused by a cyberattack or network incident such as excessive traffic. Together Belden continuous armored cable, Hirschmann switches, and EAGLE Tofino security deliver high availability networks that make continuous production possible.
