Cine Photo Tools becomes an official SA RED Digital Cinema Dealer --

RED Digital Cinema has chosen Cine Photo Tools as an official authorised dealer in South Africa offering the full line of RED cameras, including the newly-announced Weapon.
RED is synonymous with high definition, high performance digital filmmaking. Mogul, maverick and visionary Jim Jannard took the same approach in creating RED systems as he does to life, pouring his unparalleled passion for cameras into creating a truly unique brand. From Hollywood heavyweights like Peter Jackson and Steven Soderbergh, to acclaimed videographers/cinematographers such as Philip Bloom, the RED has received much praise across the globe. Lauded as industry innovators, RED gives filmmakers a powerful tool, whether their style is run-and-gun on location or a large crewed indoor studio set up, RED systems have the muscle and durability, as well the advanced technology, to handle any situation.
REDs are modular systems filmmakers can choose a body, a sensor, and pick a lens mount so that they can customise the camera based on their needs. RED has also designed their systems in a way that allows users to upgrade parts such as the sensor without having to buy a new camera every time there is a new tech advancement.
Even photographers are turning to these cameras, with images gracing the covers of Vogue, Time and Vanity Fair. Using high-res motion capture to pull crisp images, the quality of the footage captured by the RED sensor is so high users can pull out quality pics good enough to go head-to-head with many top stills cameras. The RED Dragon was named DXO s highest rated sensor. For the first time ever, a digital cinema camera beat all stills competition with a record score.
RED is contributing to the industry once again with the RED Weapon Dragon in 6K/8K. This camera delivers a new level of intuitive control and ergonomic design, packing the best aspects from Epic and Scarlet into a smaller brain with multiple upgrades and enhancements.
