LiveU is partnering with LTN Global Communications to allow any global customer the ability to wirelessly deliver broadcast quality, live video to more outlets than ever. Now any LiveU customer can harness the LTN Network and extend the reach of their IP video distribution to access one or more LTN-connected third-party sites anywhere in the world - seamlessly and cost-effectively. LTN provides a proprietary global network of private super-nodes that are connected together via multiple, redundant Tier 1 multi-gigabit IP backbone links enabling a powerful media transport service built on cutting-edge cloud network technology. We are thrilled to be LTN's first wireless partner. Now, wherever they are in the world, LiveU customers can connect to the LTN network, says Avi Cohen, LiveU's Co-Founder and COO. The options for sharing live content continues to change all the time and our goal is to make this as easy as possible for our customers. The distribution options are almost limitless for our customers to create and reliably share live video seamlessly over IP with LTN.
All LiveU's products now serve as a wireless on-ramp to the LTN Network providing customers a limitless and instantaneous connection to the LTN Network of over 1,000 occasional-use sites, which include major broadcasters, television stations, cable headends, production studios, colleges, sports networks, switching hubs, and teleports. What this means is that LiveU's unique Reliable Transport protocol (LRT), the heart of LiveU's products, delivers optimized video performance and ensures reliable, low delay live video streaming over non-guaranteed IP networks for even the most unreliable of networks, including cellular from remote locations, directly to any LTN-connected site. LiveU customers can quickly link their broadcast to LTN through the LiveU Central unified management platform without any additional hardware. Booking point-to-point or point-to-multipoint transmission to one or multiple LTN destinations is easily accomplished through the LTN Booking Portal.
The partnership between LiveU and LTN will allow LiveU customers to further monetize their capital investment in LiveU equipment by putting LTN's global resources and hundreds of LTN's connected sites within easy reach at a moment's notice, says Malik Khan, Executive Chairman, LTN Global Communications, Inc. LTN's customers will be able to leverage LiveU's wireless connectivity to transmit feeds over the LTN network from sites where landline Internet connectivity is either not possible or too expensive.
This partnership enables customers of both LTN and LiveU to enhance their content and expand their reach. With a simple LTN booking process and direct integration with content acquired with LiveU products, customers anywhere can share content to any global LTN distribution point instantly and easily.
