Siming Mountain Sees Tourist Boom anks to Free Admiion

Lots of tourists visited the National Forest Park of Siming Mountain as it opened to the public for free since November 1st.

The National Forest Park of Siming Mountain in Ningbo opened to the public for free on November 1st and will last until February 28th.

Thanks to its first free admission in ten years, Siming Mountain is embracing a boom as the number of tourists surged to more than 10,000 in November alone with an average of over 3,000 tourists visited the forest park per weekend.

The tourism boom in Siming Mountain also stimulated the business of nearby hotels and farmhouse-style restaurants. Since November, the occupancy rate of hotels inside the scenic area has surged 100%, and all the farmhouse-style restaurants have become crowded on the weekends.

However, some tourists have grown upset because of traffic jams on the way to Siming Mountain and the severe shortage of parking spaces at the scenic spot. People have called on the Siming Mountain tourism department to provide more ancillary facilities and better tourist services on peak days.
