After the conclusion of the Oscar Pistorius criminal trial, the DStv pop-up channel, The Oscar Pistorius Trial - A Carte Blanche Channel, has come to an end.

Since its launch in March 2014, when the world s media descended on Pretoria to cover the trial of Pistorius, the dedicated 24-hour channel consistently featured as one of the most watched channels on DStv, with its highest viewership recorded during Pistorius testimony.

We are very pleased with the success of the channel. It proved to be one of the top ranked channels on DStv with massive engagement on social media, said Aletta Alberts, Head of Content for MultiChoice.

The Oscar Pistorius Trial - A Carte Blanche Channel gave viewers in South Africa access to balanced, round-the-clock coverage of the trial, as well as exclusive documentaries, profiles and in-depth expert analysis.

Audiences outside of DStvs footprint in Africa had access to the same content through the oscartrial.com website where content was streamed live with 24-hour coverage.
