WASHINGTON (Aug. 19, 2014)-National Geographic Live announces its 2014 fall season lineup, which includes a diverse array of presenters from explorers, photographers and scientists to chefs, musicians and even a cheesemonger. The broad range of programming, which will be presented at National Geographic's downtown headquarters, continues Nat Geo Live's long-standing tradition of offering quality events to multi-generational audiences in the Washington metropolitan region.
The fall schedule features more than 30 events, including explorer talks, film screenings, musical performances and tastings. Returning audience favorites include Irish folk singer Moya Brennan, brewmaster Garrett Oliver, climber Alex Honnold, paleontologist Paul Sereno and photographer Marcus Bleasdale. Chef Jos Andr s, author Jodi Picoult and Hell's Kitchen winner Rock Harper are among those making their Nat Geo Live debut this season. As in previous seasons, specially priced, themed ticket packages will be offered for the food, photography and adventure programs.

The Nat Geo Live fall season runs from Oct. 2 through Dec. 12, with tickets on sale now. For daytime audiences, Nat Geo Live's popular Tuesdays at Noon film series continues, with free films every Tuesday from Oct. 14 through Dec. 9. For select evening events, the National Geographic Museum and Store will offer extended hours for guests who purchase the $7 Museum Add-On Pass.
There will also be two student matinees offered this season in conjunction with evening events. The first, on Oct. 28, features NASA engineer Kobie Boykins talking to students in grades 3 through 6 about Exploring Mars: The Next Generation. On Dec. 11, underwater photographer Brian Skerry will present Ocean Soul to students in grades 5 through 8. Nat Geo Live's student matinees are open to school groups for $10 per student and include admission to the National Geographic Museum. All events take place in National Geographic's Grosvenor Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased online at nglive.org/dc, via telephone at (202) 857-7700 or in person at the National Geographic ticket office between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased by Sept. 12 to ensure guaranteed early bird pricing.
