Ottawa, ON - FileCatalyst, an Emmy award winning pioneer in managed file transfers and a world-leading accelerated file transfer solution, announced today a new integration partnership with UK based object storage software company, Object Matrix.
Object Matrix is the leading provider of integrated object storage to the media and entertainment industries. Object Matrix customers require their digital content to be shared across multiple, geographically disperse locations. In doing so they require that content to be protected at the highest levels, both at source and destination, said Jonathan Morgan, Object Matrix CEO. Incorporating FileCatalyst into the MatrixStore object storage workflows will result in significantly accelerated file transfer, making the entire process faster, more reliable and more secure.
FileCatalyst provides accelerated file transfer capabilities for Object Matrix's object based storage solution, MatrixStore. MatrixStore is a flexible and integrated private storage cloud that fits seamlessly into any workflow and uses object-based storage technology to provide an integrated and automated nearline platform to support multiple workflows. It stores data, metadata and automatically applies data storage policies to provide a secure and scalable solution for user's data storage requirements.

For users sending and receiving large format media files using methods such as email or FTP, transfers into a storage solution quickly become very slow or unreliable, especially over large geographical distances.
To speed the delivery of these files within its solutions, Object Matrix has partnered with FileCatalyst to enable users to send digital content at accelerated data transfer rates.
