American Tobacco Celebrates Durham Feature in NY Times

It's all over social media. American Tobacco appreciates the recent love from a celebrated and respected publication. Durham's expanding dining, entertainment options get New York Times shoutout The Bull City is getting a huge shout out from the New York Times.

Durham is featured in this week's '36 Hours,' a regular column that highlights a city's amenities, restaurants and attractions. This week's column comes 10 years after Durham was featured in the same column.

It illustrated what a lot of people who live in the Triangle already know Durham's food scene is booming.

The piece dives into the best culinary and cultural offerings in town, meaning now the entire country knows hot Durham really is.

Little Bull opened five months ago in Durham's Old Five Points neighborhood. And it's already earned a write-up in the New York Times.

It's exciting for us and it's exciting that they're coming into Durham to showcase people who are doing stuff, said Oscar Diaz, Chef and partner at Little Bull.

That write up includes a 36-hour itinerary for the Bull City, including hot spots like Rose's Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets and Monuts.

Susan Amey, President of Discover Durham, says the NYT coverage is an honor.

It's fantastic for us. We love to talk about Durham, we love Durham, said Amey. But when a third party talks about you it's a huge endorsement, but when it's a third party like the New York Times and one of the most famous travel columns in the world, that makes it all that much more special.
