NEP Groups Mediabank Team and DIscovery Win a 2018 IABM BaM Award posted: 14/04/2018
Using a cloud-based solution as the MAM platform for the Olympic Games is a brave decision, and successfully utilizing it to deliver all of the Olympic content to 50 territories in 21 languages is a great achievement
NEP Group is thrilled to announce that their Mediabank team, along with their partners at Discovery, are the proud winners of a 2018 IABM BaM Award in the project/collaboration category for their work to create the first ever cloud-based media asset management system for the Olympic Games. Mediabank's media asset management solution facilitated live MCR, ingest, craft editing of highlights, automated clip generation, storage of content, distribution of live content and clips, a signal hub, an audio matrix and 24/7 monitoring and support for over 12,000 hours of Olympic content.
The IABM BaM Awards celebrate and recognize the achievements of broadcast and media innovators that deliver real business and creative benefits, and are judged by an independent panel of experts.
The judges lauded the success of the Mediabank solution, saying, Using a cloud-based solution as the MAM platform for one of the highest-profile broadcasting events such as the Olympic Games is a brave decision, and successfully utilizing it to deliver all of the Olympic content to 50 territories in 21 languages is a great achievement.
