Avid appoints Jan Lange as Regional Sales Director, Central EMEA

(19/04/2015) Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) today announced that Jan Lange will head up regional sales in Central Europe, Middle East and Turkey as of April 9, 2015. The former Senior VP Sales/Marketing of Cologne-based Media Broadcast GmbH will be responsible for driving Avid's business and support the Avid EverywhereTM strategy across the region.

Jan Lange can look back on at almost 20 years of experience in the technology industry, both in Germany and abroad. Former positions include VP European Sales Channels and Executive VP Direct Sales at T-Mobile in Bonn/Germany, General Manager DACH region at colt technology services in Frankfurt as well as Director Sales EMEA at Virtual Computing Environment Company in London/UK. With his help Media Broadcast GmbH, Europe's leading service provider for linear and non-linear TV solutions to the broadcast industry, has successfully advanced to the position as innovation driver for digital media within the broadcast industry.

Some of his most important sales achievements were the break through of the new digital radio standard DAB+ in Germany, the transformation of the DVB core business driven by the HD requirements and securing the German IPTV Award in the Most innovative technology category for launching multithek , an hbbtv-based hybrid TV solution. In this role, he was also responsible for international business development, resulting in an extensive knowledge of the broadcast industry and the challenges it faces based on the fast changing media value chain.

Jan Lange will be reporting to Tom Cordiner, Vice President of International Sales at Avid, and be based at Avid's German office in Munich. Jan Lange is a valuable addition to the team, and I'm pleased to welcome him on board, says Tom Cordiner.
